HHS DOLLARS FOR SCHOLARS IS UP AND RUNNING
Formation of "Hilltop High School Dollars for Scholars" (HHSDFS) was announced at Open House in October. Organizers and parent volunteers met on the evening of November 14 to get acquainted, learn more about Dollars for Scholars, and discuss how to begin raising funds for scholarships. Principal Jerry Rindone, schol- arship counselor Kathy Rahilly, and regional Dollars for Scholars representative Katie Elsbree were on hand to encourage the volunteers.
After the meeting, HHSDFS president David Krogh stated, "We're excited to be started, and very pleased with the parents who have volun- teered to help. We are hopeful that more will join with us, so that we can accomplish all the more for the kids." You may contact David at: 216-9548.
Anyone wishing to learn more about Dollars for Scholars can come to the next meeting, or visit the HHSDFS website. HHSDFS had another |

meeting Thursday December 12. Those wishing to donate should send checks payable to "HHS Dollars for Scholars" to the school (555 Claire Avenue), attention Kathy Rahilly.
At the Open House, all persons donat- ing or sharing their email addresses and phone numbers with HHSDFS were offered a chance for a free dinner. The winner of the drawing held at the end of the November 14 meeting was parent volunteer Robert Miranda. We hope that Robert and his wife en- joyed their dinner at Casa Don Diego restaurant. Mr. Pablo Pena, proprietor of CDD: we appreciate your support of HHSDFS! |
