|Hannibal High School Class of 1950|
|This web-site was created in Oct. 2005. It is our hope that all of our classmates will contribute news, pictures, interesting articles, jokes that relate to our age group or poems you have written.. We will keep you notified of any recent deaths or get togethers such as luncheons, trips, etc.|
|Flash--It is a rainy day here in sunny Florida so I checked out Bob Winthrop's web-site. His poems are so beautiful, some made me want to cry. He did a fantastic job creating the web-site also. Be sure to check it out. It is so worthwhile.
| THE CLASS OF '50 CELEBRATED
it's 55th Class Reunion on October 7th & 8th.
Fall was in the air. The trees were beginning to turn scarlet and gold. We arrived at the new Hannibal Quality Inn on Friday for a wonderful evening to greet our "old" classmates. Our wonderful Reunion Committee had decorated with a huge pirate banner and plenty of "memory pictures".
There were lots of hugs and camera's snapping. We reminisced and got "up to date news".
The next day we were invited to Rev. Bob & Marjorie Kennison's fabulous home overlooking the Mississippi River and the farm lands of Illinois. A beautiful clear day to watch the train and boat activity below while visiting and enjoying the delicious desserts and snacks.
The banquet room again was beautifully decorated by our great committee. Candles were on all the tables and candles were lit in memory of our classmates who are no longer with us. Bud Munson gave a speech on how lucky we were to have such a good school to attend, one that provided such a variety of subjects, excellent teachers and a beautiful facility. We were reluctant to say goodbye to our classmates knowing that we are bound the lose some before our next reunion.
To all of those who did not attend, we missed you!!!
