CLOTHING AND WEAPONS

  • No items of the Shadow shall be worn at any time.
  • No metal armor shall be worn at any time. Shields are however acceptable.
  • The following are the only weapon classes to be used by Novices, Accepteds, and Sisters-- short blades, staves, spears, whips, javelins, projectiles, medium blades or fencing blades.
  • Individual items that have been deemed unacceptable are: black swords, inky black cloaks, gleaming black swords, badges of the trolloc hordes, necklaces of human teeth, armor of the trolloc hordes and wickedly scythed longswords.
  • Found Tower clothing should be returned to the proper person. Rings and dresses should be given to Sheriam Sedai, Gaidin equipment should be given to Coulin, and shawls should be returned to the member of the correct Ajah. Rewards will come in time, rather than immediately.
  • Failure to comply with these regulations will result in any offending item being confiscated and possible removal from the White Tower.
HOUSING
  • Novices and Accepteds must rent in the Tower.
  • Full Sisters may find a comfortable inn while abroad but are encouraged to return to the Tower as they are able.

THE THREE OATHS

****All tower members are to live by the three oaths even if they have not yet sworn the oaths on the oath rod****

  • To speak no word that is not true.
  • To make no weapon with which one man may kill another.
  • Not to use the One Power as a weapon except against Shadowspawn, or in the last defense of my life, the life of my Warder, or that of another Sister.
FORBIDDEN WEAVES
  • The one power should never be used to harm another human being except as provided by the oaths -- this includes blinding and sleeping weaves.
  • The use of Ward Weapon and Compulsion weaves are forbidden.
  • Use of forbidden weaves will result in expulsion from the White Tower and possibly being stilled.
TASKS
  • Novices may receive tasks from Sheriam Sedai.
  • Sisters and Accepteds will receive tasks from Elaida Sedai.
  • A task may be completed only once unless it is clearly stated that it may be completed more than once.
  • Completing tasks more than once will result in revocation of rewards as well as a penalty for not following the rules.
  • Simply having completed the required number of tasks does not ensure progression within the Towers ranks. You must prove you are worthy in your heart and by your deeds.
FOR NOVICES
  • You will obey the Three Oaths as if you have sworn them and follow all the rules of the lands in which you visit.
  • You may not hunt male channelers.
  • You may not hunt Shadowspawn.
  • You may not hunt those wanted by Tar Valon.
  • You must obey Accepteds and Full Sisters.
  • You should not travel incognito at any time.
  • You must wear the Novice's white dress at all times. You may acquire a new dress by asking Sheriam Sedai to issue dress.
  • You can never travel in the company of or associate with a known male channeler or a criminal of Tar Valon.
  • You will spend your time in Tar Valon or the White Tower unless on a specific task. This means that you should not loiter in another city. You are free to explore the countryside for personal growth but should return thereafter to Tar Valon and your studies.
  • You must attend the orientation class to be considered for the Arches.

FOR ACCEPTEDS

  • As a Tower Accepted you may hunt male channelers and shadowspawn with the proper escort of a Gaidin, Full Sister or any member of a justice clan of rank 5 or greater; OR you must obtain permission from 2 Sisters, one of which must be Green or Red, to hunt them without assistance for that session only.

  • As a Journey Accepted you are expected to teach a class on a subject of your own choosing before being raised to Tower Accepted.
