This page will tell how to reach it, and how to play it.

And here's the long avaited guide to becoming a novice. lol.
It's quite simple actually, you need to be:
LEVEL 30 (or more), BEGINNER(!)
STR 40 or more
DEX 40 or more
INT 40 or more
LUK 40 or more
And that's it.
To make the job advancement, go to Ellinia and take the airship to Ossyria, then go and talk to all of the 3rd job advancement people.
Note: They'll say nothing special, but the fact that you talked to them will be registered in-game, and it will unlock the next step.
Then return to Victoria Island, and talk to all second job guys (not the ones in cities, the ones hidden in various places around the cities!)
(Note: This is how you'll know that it's working and you've built your char right.
Usually, these characters will not talk to you at all, but once you've talked to the 3rd job guys, the dialog will pop up. It'll say usual boring stuff like "Talk to Dances with Balrog in Perion first", but it'll say something.)
First talk to ALL the 2nd job people, and THEN talk to the first job guys in the cities. But DO NOT TAKE THEIR JOBS, "just say No". ;)
Note: The order is important, first 3rd job coaches, then 2nd job, and finally 1st job, not different.
Note2: For some reason sometimes it doesn't work. My suggestion-
don't log out while doing the quest!!!
do it as fast as possible.
Don't talk to any other NPCs because they could interfere with the quest.
Once you've taked to all job coaches, go to sleepywood, and talk to the Hotel Receptionist.
There will be a new dialog option next to sauna, and VIP sauna.
"Novice Room"
Choose it, and she'll tell you that there's been rumour about someone of uniqe talents (you XD), looking around for a job, and that you may be interested in hearing from someone who's waiting for you at the hidden room.
Then she'll offer to let you into the hidden room.
Accept, and you'll find yourself in this weird room full of various stuff.
There you will find the novice chief.
He'll tell you how he searched the island for a job that would match his talents, and he couldn't find one, so he decided to create an entirely new profesion, and teach it to newcomers. But the other schools didn't like the competition, and forced him to hide in the dungeons.
You can read the dialogs, though they have nothing particularly interesting.
Once you're done, accept, and woohoo! You're a Novice!
