"I read the Hidden Palms script and loved it. I loved the journey the main character (my stepson — you might know him — played by Taylor Handley of The O.C.) was taking and the strange world his new father (me) had brought him and his mother (Gail O'Grady of NYPD Blue fame) to. Here's what he had to say about his character: "You know, Johnny Miller’s character, he’s like the anti-hero hero. He’s not like the everyday wide-smile kind of guy. He’s got a lot of baggage that comes along with him, so I really liked that because it....helps me to have those levels in the character that I play. Johnny leaves Nikki alone at his house for an hour and she promptly falls off the wagon when some friends show up. Meanwhile, Greta confronts Cliff about harassing Johnny; and Cliff's mom invites her new boyfriend to move in, much to Cliff's dismay. Expect an official one from the CW soon. | Tonight's the Night! 5/30/07 -- Posted By: Andrew The day that we've all been waiting for is finally here! Tonight at 8 ET the CW will be premiering Hidden Palms. After you've watched the episode, come back here to discuss it on the message board! The thread for pilot discussions can be found here. If you're not able to watch it tonight, no need to worry! The CW will be giving you a chance to catch it this Sunday at 8, and, according to this page, MTV will be re-airing the pilot NEXT Wednesday at 7 PM (ET). (There's no mention of any future airings, so I'm assuming the MTV encore is a one time only thing.) Below are some extras to get you prepared for the premiere. :) |
| Palms Premiere Dissappoints In Ratings 05/31/2007 -- Posted By: Christian The Premiere Of the summer season's most anticipated new dramas failed to deliver solid ratings to The CW last night, pulling in an embarrassing 1.82 Million Viewers with a 0.7/ 2 demo. With the strong fanbase the show already has, it didn't seem to be enough for the shows Pilot episode. Let's just hope as time goes on, america decides to give it a shot. When One Tree Hill first premiered on the WB back in the fall of 2003, it had similar ratings, but grew a larger fan base as time progressed. It was recently given the greenlight for a fifth season on The CW. The case may be the same with Palms. We'll just wait and see. |
