June 9, 2001 - I have just updated all of the links.  I didn't realize that some of them have changed.  As far as I can tell they should work now.

I have also added this page, so that you can keep track of the changes that I have made to the site.  I know it can be a hassle to check back often only to find nothing is different.  Hopefully this will make it easier to follow the changes.  You may also notice that I've added a "Letters" section to the site.  Currently I have only the Joseph M. Hieatt letter.  I also have another letter by Lucy Fox Hieatt that I am working on.  I will add that as soon as I am finished with it.  If you have any letters, PLEASE send them to me and I will include them as well.

I am working on adding a database for all of the Hieatt's as individuals.  This will mean that you can include pictures, short stories, and other pertinant information about your ancestors.  This will require a lot of work to format, etc. so please be patient.  I will do my best to get your information up as soon as possible.  However, if you do include a picture I will make it a priority.

Finally, as soon as I can get permission, I will be adding a manuscript prepared by Mark Suter entitled "The Hieatt Family of Central Kentucky"  It is a wonderful description of the Hieatt's from Jonathan and his three brothers and sister, and his marriage to Mary Connor in 1784.  It also lists his descendants.

Enjoy the site!
