The Truth as I See it!

I believe the universe and all that is in it were created by God. He created us in his image, giving us free will to make choices. Not being God, we make selfish choices, SIN, that separates us from God. God cares so much for us that He sent His Son, Jesus, to die for our sins so we can be reunited with Him - if we accept the gift that Jesus gave on the cross. Honesty - I believe the most important thing missing in our country today is honesty. An honest days work for an honest days pay. Honesty in dealing with others. Honesty even when it's not convenient. Honesty from our government. It's possible to co-exist with one who's beliefs are different - but it's impossible to co-exist with one who is not honest.
Abortion - The Declaration of Independence, the document on which our nation is based says, "...that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness." How can it then be said that LIFE is not a RIGHT? Abortion is not pro-choice - it takes a lifetime of choices away from an unborn baby.
Self-Esteem - I believe I am special to God - so special that he sent His Son to die for me. If God is taken out of schools and society, and we consider ourselves to be only products of evolution, it follows that our children will have low self esteem and little respect for any life.
Personal Responsibility - This country needs some personal responsibility. Americans expect the government to meet all their needs and make all their decisions for them. We as Christians can be just as bad. We expect the movie ratings system to make our choices of movies. We expect a filtered Internet service to make our surfing choices. In reality we are simply relinquishing our responsibility to another party. There is no honor in that.
AIDS - I believe that if we followed God's laws - sex only with one's spouse, AIDS would not exist. I resent being told that everyone is at risk. That is assuming I and everyone else are immoral. I am not at risk - unless the government is lying about how AIDS is transmitted.
