why Play?
Children naturally use play to explore their worlds, process their experiences, and build relationships. Before the age of twelve, most children have not fully developed the ability to use words to convey their thoughts and emotions. Play therapy allows a child to use the most familiar language of childhood - the language of play. Children in play therapy can use toys, instead of words, to better understand themselves and to communicate their feelings. Play therapists are trained to understand and relate to children in ways that promote a healthier adjustment.

Not all play therapy is the same. Child-Centered Play Therapy (CCPT) is a time-tested, extensively reasearched modality. It is a nondirective approach, ensuring that all interventions are perfectly timed and tailored to your indiviual child, since they are initiated and carried out
by your child.
