Subject: User profile changes: time zone, ratings enhancements

Some of these changes may affect your user profile. More on that below.

I'm pleased to announce two changes to your user profile: time zones, and ratings for every game.

Time zones: You can now enter the time zones that you're in. All the times on ItsYourTurn.com will reflect your local time. This includes times on the game status page as well as times under the game boards.

Ratings for all games: You can now enter your rating for all games, not just a select few. Under ACCOUNT on the left side click on "Edit ratings".

Other changes, please read: We have also changed the state and country to drop-down lists. We have tried to move as much information from the old information into this new format. However, there were times when we couldn't figure out which state or country was being referenced. In this case, we have left the field marked as "None Selected". We encourage everyone to take a look at their user profile to make sure their city, state, and country are entered correctly. To do this, look under the ACCOUNT section on the left side of your screen, and click on "Edit user profile". Thanks.

Subject: An answer from IYT

For anyone else having problems, this is the letter I received from IYT....hope it helps.

You said that you are having trouble logging in to ItsYourTurn.com with your WebTV unit.

There could be a problem in a WebTV cookie server that is causing this. But there is also a chance the the cookie that ItsYourTurn.com has sent you has been damaged. We apologize for this. We are having an intermittent problem with one of our machines, and are working on building a replacement for it.

In the meantime, here are some things that might help you fix the probolem from your end:

One WebTV user has told us that if you simply hang up and turn off your WebTV, then turn it back on and come back to our site, this problem can be fixed.

If you do this and you still can not log in to ItsYourTurn.com, then you might need to delete your cookies so that a fresh cookie for
ItsYourTurn.com can be written.

If you delete your cookies, you will delete all of them. This means that you will need to log in again to every site that knows who you are. If you have accounts at Amazon.com, or a My Yahoo page for instance, then you will need to log in to these places again the next time you visit them.

Knowing that, if you want to try deleting your WebTV cookies, you can go to one of these two web sites:

When you are on either site, look on your WebTV keyboard. On the top row of buttons, near the right side, is a button that says 'info.' Press info.

You will see a pop-up card that has some options on it. Choose the option that says 'reset' or 'delete cookies.'

You probably will then see a window that says 'There is no web page or other information available for the item chosen.' If you see this, don't worry, nothing has gone wrong. Your cookies are probably deleted.

Now, come to ItsYourTurn.com again. You will see the login page. Log in with your User ID and password. See if this login is successful, and let me know how it goes.

HOWDY HOWDY!!!

It is early in the morning as I write this.. I have had a very long week and a half. Lots of personal good news for me... I found a great home in which to move into. I will start that this coming week.. I am not the only one moving either. I see that Angel of Darkness is as well.. Good luck girlie girl..
I also got exciting news that Dano will be visiting me the last of May and Early June, for everyone whom didn't already know. I hope to be all moved in on his arrival. Yellowstone..... here we come!!

And some refreshing news for the club is... we are at 205 members.. Wow!! did we ever expect it to grow as it has? *smile* It also seems that Yahoo has finally calmed down for our section.. we are getting the basic stats everyday again.. (Knock on wood - *Knock!! Knock!!*)
