The Wall
There's a wall around a city
A wall so tall and sturdy
It has stood for years and years
When this wall was built there was a small crack in the mortar
over the years that crack hasn't gotten any bigger
until a girl came along and tried to climb that wall
this girl was upset with her lover and had decided to run away
you see, noone had been inside that city in years and was now overgrown with vines
that wall stood so high and so tall that no one wanted to try
This girl was curious and wanted to find out what was in that city
so she found that small crack grabbed hold and began to climb the vines on that wall
as she climbed higher and higher
that crack became bigger and bigger
that beautiful wall standing tall and sturdy began to crumble
the girl had no idea until she heard a loud cracking sound
she looked down and saw a large piece of the wall fall to the earth
She began to get scared but decided to keep climbing
in hopes that she could make it to the other side before the wall collapsed
higher and higher she climbed until she could almost touch the clouds
she finally reached the top and looked down
everywhere she looked was gold and silver
"What a beautiful city!!" she said to herself
she could feel love a beauty everywhere
down she began to climb praying to get down before the wall would fall
with the walls crumbling arund her she went down
Just when she was about one hundred feet from the ground the wall gave and she along with it
when the girl awoke standing above her was her lover
"Am I dead?" she asked.
"No" said he,"You were knocked out but you are fine now"
"Why are you here lover?" said the girl as she began to get up
"You see, this wall was not truly around a city but around my heart
as you began to climb it you broke down the wall and now my love is yours
thank you so much for helping me to become a better person"
The girl and her lover lived a long and fruitful life in the gold and silver city of his heart!
