"Buster" won his first point (a four point major) at seven months of age and was Best Puppy at the 1987 National. He finished at 11 months 2 days of age with four majors, and was at that time the youngest Champion in the history of the breed. He continued to be a consistent Best of Breed winner for the next five year period, and also became a Record of Merit holder as the sire of 22 AKC champion offspring (see below).
