REGULAR EVENTS

The Living Room:

Please join us in the church centre for food, friendship, worship, teaching and prayer after the evening service, starting around 8.15pm and lasting about an hour. It's for anyone who is a student, or is student age. This time together is a place where we can look out for one another, have a laugh and build friendships which last in an open and friendly environment...

  • Good food! Each week we'll be having a meal in the Church centre, so if your cooking skills have let you down there's no need to go hungry.
  • Worship, Prayer and Sharing - praying for everything from world events to local stuff. Good time to talk to people about what God's been doing for you, or anything that's bothering you.
  • Go t' pub! (Optional)
There are also regular socials - more details when we decide what to do.

Prayer Meetings

More to come.
Alpha Course:

We are running an Alpha course this term at Highfield for anyone who is interested in exploring the meaning of life in a relaxed no-pressure zone. It is a 9 week course covering the basics of Christianity, taking the format of a meal, followed by a talk and then small group discussion. We use the material from the nation-wide Alpha course based at Holy Trinity Brompton in London. This term's course begins on 13th October.

Student Link-Up:

...is for students who would like to be 'hosted' by a family at Highfield church. It is a great opportunity to get to know non-students and to get some good grub for Sunday lunch. We like to make sure our students are well-fed!!

If you would like to know any more information on any of the above, please contact Zoe Hart :

ONE-OFF EVENTS

Blue Moon Sunday:

In connection with the HiLife festival...
on Sunday 19th October each of the services will be specially designed for the invitation of guests, perhaps those who only come to church once in a blue moon.

Please invite your friends - invitations are readily available at Highfield Church.

Linked with it there will be some evening discussion groups in the Church Centre for those who want to talk about God in the most open forum.

Text supplied by Graham Archer, vicar of Highfield Church.

HiLife Festival:

Starting on 12th October.
