High Hope Camp is committed to providing a superior outdoor education experience through hands-on learning in a family atmosphere. The program offers flexibility in content and schedule to meet each client's needs.

Emphasis on structure and discipline maximizes teaching effectiveness as well as safety. Facility cleanliness, food quality, and direct involvement of the owner/directors in all aspects of the program assure a satisfied customer base.

While having fun and acquiring life-long memories, participants are afforded the opportunity to further develop in the following areas: academic growth, class/group bonding, self-confidence, observation skills, interpersonal skills, awareness of others, appreciation of nature and the environment, and personal responsibility.

Activities available include: horsemanship, water safety and canoeing, archery, screen printing, compass orienteering, survival skills, wetland investigation, dendrology (study of trees), ornithology (study of birds), tracking, grokking, habitats, astronomy, night hikes, campfires, staff hunt, and eco-dramas.

Three and five-day programs are available. Learning experiences are conducted by qualified instructors, primarily in the natural outdoor classroom, and enhanced by the camp's audio-visual resources and learning center displays.

A full-day (off camp property) field trip during the five-day program provides even greater diversity in observing nature first-hand. On the field trip, campers visit a wildlife refuge and waterfowl resting area, a trout rearing station, Pokagon State Park (kettle hole lake, pine forest, nature center) and a nature preserve that features an early-1800's farmstead setting.
