arnie Ferguson-Lapierre is a Member of the British Association Teachers of Dance and founder of the Northern Ontario School of Scottish Dance and the Dalriada Scottish Dancers in Timmins and Iroquois Falls, Ontario.

Marnie began her Highland career as a
Caledonia Dancer in Haileybury, Ontario (a Scottish dance group founded by her father, William.)  While in the Tri-Town area, She performed and competed with the Caledonia Dancers (Branch 54 RCL) and travelled with the Haileybury Highlanders Pipe Band throughout Northern and Southern Ontario.

Marnie studied Highland dance at the Northern Ontario School of Gaelic Arts (once located in Timmins), under the tutelage of Sandra Bald-Jones during the summer months.  Throughout the dance year, Marnie attended weekly lessons at the Colleen Porter School of Scottish Dance in North Bay, Ontario, while still holding weekly practice with the Caledonia Dancers in Haileybury.

Marnie's love of Highland dancing has resulted in the return of Highland Dance to Timmins.  The opportunity to preserve this traditional form of Scottish Dance is one of the many reasons the Dalriada Scottish Dancers were formed!
