Matthew Fife was born in 1745 in Fifeshire Scotland.
He moved with his brothers John & William to
Archill, County Tyrone, Ireland.  
There they purchased a hundred acre farm.  
John & William immigrated to the United States.  
Matthew stayed on the farm in Ireland.  
He bore two sons and four daughters.  
Matthew lived to be one hundred years and 
passed away in 1845 in Archill, County Tyron, Ireland.


David Fife, grandson to Matthew was born 1799 in
Archill, County Tyron, Ireland.
1832, a son, William Fife was born.
David and his family  immigrated to the United States 
in 1840, and settled in Palestine, Illinois.
David became a US citizen in 1848.
He died in 1875 in Palestine, Illinois.
