A witness reported a few years ago that he encountered a woman in white crossing the road in front of the cemetery. He swerved to avoid her and she vanished right in front of his eyes. A year later, he saw this woman again and this time, she was in the graveyard itself. He claimed to see her standing next to a tall monument and nearby was another apparition. This ghost was that of a man wearing some sort of uniform. He stopped his car for a closer look and the two figures faded away. Thinking that someone might be playing a trick on him, he quickly searched the area for either people or automobiles, but found nothing.
The stories of ghosts in the cemetery still continue today and researchers have pointed out that there have been an inordinate number of auto accidents along the stretch of road near the cemetery..... perhaps these drivers were swerving to avoid a woman in white who wanders out across the road?
The time is about 6pm. We are finding our way to the butler cemetery in Westland, Michigan. We arrive at the cemetery around 7pm. The skies were clear, although it was quite cold outside and a bit windy at times. The cemetery wasn't very big and sat on a hill that backed up to a trailor park. There were a lot of airplanes that would fly over us, so at times it was a little bit loud. When I was in this cemetery, persoanlly I felt very peacefull. I did not feel threatened nor did I feel uncomfortable and I think I can speak for all members involved while saying this. We begin the investigation around 7:30pm and continued until about 9:30pm. Here are some of the groups expirences. At the start of the investigation, Dallas claims she felt a finger tip touch the back of her neck. She felt this in different parts of the cemetery on different occasions. She was asked if she felt uneasy or uncomfortable, she stated she did not. A couple of the people in the group thought they heard the voice of a little girl talking. They couldnt make out what she was saying but you could hear the mumble of the voice. Another member also heard the voice coming from the back of the cemetery. There were several EMF fluctions that would appear and then disappear in the same location. A couple of the members smelled some kind of perfume/cologne. The smell disappeard after a few seconds. After looking around the area we found that there were no flowers present in the area. In this same area another member heard what resembled "footsteps". Near the end of the investigation, Sam and Dallas both saw a moving light that would appear and disappear. The light appeared near the fence on the right side of the cemetery about 7 feet off of the ground and was about 15 feet in front of sam and dallas. What is interesting about this light is that you can clearly see that the light appears to be in front of the brush that lyes behind the fence. The light started out faded. It would get brighter and move from left to right and up and down. it would disappear and reappear again. At one time sam thought he could see 2 of these same lights. This light also appeared on the Handy cam but we are having trouble finalizing the disk. At this time they also claim to have see what appeared to be eyes. At this point Dallas was fearfull and returned to her car, as she was unable to remein in the cemetery. Unfortunately we did not capture any possible paranormal phenomena durring this investigation.
