The Guard of Korayn                                                 By Alastair      What is the Guard of Korayn? The guard of Korayn is a military style unit sworn to protect Korayn at all cost and by any means.      What are the guards colors? The primary color of the guard of Korayn is green. This color represents the wealth and prosperity of Korayn, which is the guards first priority. The second color is gray. This color represents the guards views on combat. There is no true good and no true evil. What we choose is good and those who opose us are evil.      Our creed. "Ther is no honor, only victory."      Who is in charge of the Guard? The guard of Korayn has a structured ranking system. The highest ranking fighter is in comand of the Guard and holds the title of "High Commander." The High Commander places lower ranking fighters in charge of smaller divisions. In order to lead a division you must at least hold the rank of Officer. The High Commander must be a knight with a guard rank of no less then Commander. If two fighteer are in line for High Commander simultaneously, or the current High Commander is contested, the fighters in question will assemble before all present Guard members, and will dual for the position. Any weapons and armor may be used, with the exeption of missle weaponry. The winner of three of five fights determines the victor. The High Commander may be contested only by one fighter and only after a period of 90 days after his instatement or last contest.      Below is a detailed list of ranks, requirements and insignia. Level 1:Grunt-No insignia, this is the entry level Guard member. Fighters must have basic garb, the uniform throw over and their own weapons. Level 2:Solider-One vertical gold sword on the right shoulder as insignia. In order to attain the rank of solider, a fighter must have standard garb, they must have shown some skill in fighting and weapons makeing. Level 3:Elite-Two diagonally crossed gold swords on the right shoulder as insignia. This fighter must show good fighting skill on the field, they must have good garb, they must show that they can make safe and usable weapons and they must have armored vitals. Level 4:Officer- A gold shield with a vertical sword behind it as insignia. In order to attain this rank, the fighter must be squired by a knight. Level5:Commander-A gold shield with two diagonally crossed swords behind it as insignia. In order to be a Commander in the Guard you must be knighted. Level 6:Death Bringer- A white skull on the right shoulder as insignia. In order to attain Death bringer the fighter must first be a knight with armor head to  toe, excluding gloves and shoes. Then the fighter must pass a test. He is to defeat three fully armed and armored knights, simultaneously, within five minutes. Any weapons and armor may be used with the exception of missle weaponry.      Promotion Ceremony All present Guard members are to assemble in a private location. They will form a circle with the High Commander at the head. The High commander will call the fighter to be promoted, or accepted into the Guard forward. "(fighter name here), present yourself." The fighter will then enter the circle, kneel beore the High Commander, and present his weapon with his head bowed. The High Commander will ten speak[for entry into the Guard] " Do you swear to protect Korayn with your life, come to her aid in time of war, and increase your skills as a warrior?" The fighter will then answer"I will." [For promotion] "(fighters name here), you have proven yourself to be a valable warrior. you have upheald your oath and performed your duties as excpected of you. For this reason you aret o be promoted to the rank of(new reank here)".[for promotion] The High Commander will then place the fighters new rank insignia on his weapon.
