| The November, 2002 winner of the Sandie Award for the Strat-O-Matic Baseball Webring Site of the Month is the Modern Era Retro League. Congratulations goes out Jim Nancarrow and to all of the members of this outstanding league and website. The MERL is a 10 member, 20 team draft league beginning with the 1969 season. Each member owns 1 franchise in both the American and National League. Featuring an excellent and visually appealing web page design, the site also lists extensive history pages, statistics pages, and the league constitution, with plenty of room for growth, including a league chat room, league records pages, player registers and team pages. Beginning with my personal favorite and coming of baseball age season in 1969, the Modern Era Retro League is sure to continue to grow and evolve and become one of your favorites as well, in your travels thru the webring.
