Woodcaring is just another hobby of mine that I get around to doing when I am sitting around bored.

I got into it in 1991 after seeing a man hiking in the Smokies walking with a wood spirit hiking stick. I just knew I had to have one.
I went looking around everywhere in the smokies for one, but none with a old man's face on it to my fancy.

So I went to a wood carvers shop In Towndsend, TN named  The Smoky Mountains Woodcarvers Supply .Wow what a place. They have everything a carver could need. So I whipped out the ye ole credit card and bought some knives, wood & finger protectors "That was my best investment in the lot" and headed out to the woods to get inspired.
Well after two years of trial and error I had only create two works of Art "Ha Ha". One was the Hiking stick that I still use today and the other is a Rainbow Trout but I would  have to say that the Stick is favorite.
