Our Last Goodbye

A tender kiss
Was your last gift
Before the night
Came and gave death flight.

The night before,
We foun ourselves once more.
I gave you everything...
My heart,
My soul.
My mind.
Especially my body...

To  you, I revealed the real me.
You were the only one that knew my deepest secrets,
My greatest fears,
My most complicated dreams,
My longest desires...

In exchange,
You gave me the greatest gift.
You gave me yourself.
My other half...
My  missing half...

Those moments together
Are what keep me living.
Through it all,
I'm glad that we could have at least spent
That magical night together,
So I could cherish those moments forever.

Forbidden love,
Symbolized by a pair of run away doves...
That was the emblem bestowed upon us.
Together forever,
Parting never...
Those were the vows we said too each other.

They took you away from me.
But, why?
Why couldn't they just let us be?
Did our love bother them so much
As to nevr let me feel your warm touch
Or anything of that such?

You lay in my arms,
Proclaiming your last words of encouragement,
Love, and even your last wishes.
Crimson blood p[ainted on both our faces.
A firm hand against my stomach,
While brilliant  eyes begin to slowly diminish
And your once warmth filled body begins to turn cold...

I couldn't let you go then,
And I'll never let you go now.

Tears still trickle down my face,
Permanently painted
As a sign that signifies the story of our love and seperation.
Dark spots begin to appear on your cold tombstone.
The clear drops fall atop our emblem
And slowly  slide down towards our vow to one another.

I miss you already.
I love you so  much more already
As I stare at the  now clouded sky,
I  can only wish that that
Hadn't have been
Our last goodbye.
