Working Group Nepal
Working Group Nepal / Arbeitskreis Nepal since 1984 -
It started by activity of Mr. Ludwig Debuck and friends / Germany.

H I M A L A Y A: Nepal / Tibet

Ludwig Debuck: Since many years I am 'fascinated' by the Himalayas (Nepal/Tibet): Landscape, humans, culture, social conditions....

On many journeys I could learn this region to know better - do not call me therefore however a "specialist". .

Why just Nepal? Why Tibet/Himalaya? - Hm, why one falls in love itself?
The many meetings and activities are unforgettable in over twenty years. - I could help some humans with friends a bit further (by our WORKING GROUP NEPAL and untiringly together with my wife Luci).

Humans are kind; in addition, suffer from various problems - particularly in rural regions -..

We engage ourselves since 1984 on the part of AK-NEPAL (Working Group Nepal) with some friends in some places.
Thus we financed e.g. new school buildings in rural regions as well as in Dhulikhel/Katmandutal:

I became CO-FOUNDER and partly an advisor for PA-Nepal (Prisoners Assistance Nepal) caring of children in jail who have to stay there with their criminal father or mother if nobody is able or willing to take care of them. - This recent organization (founded summer 2000),under employment of the experienced and recognized Social female worker Indira Ranamagar, does a good work. -

Will Nepali youth under the changed political situation be able itself to engage in the future politically and socially?

The emergency in the country is large. - A hopeful example of personal responsibility and commitment is COYON (CO-OPERATIIVE YOUTH ORG. NEPAL). Young Nepalis want to develop their region. There are presentable results and successes.
Another hopeful organization ist Prisoners Assistance Nepal (2000):

PA Nepal Mission Statement: "PA Nepal's mission is to rid prisons of unnecessary suffering and hardship, in particular the suffering experienced by innocent children and prisoners who are poor and disadvantaged. It wants to help transform prisons into places that work to help prisoners build worthwhile and rewarding futures."
