The Local Newspaper 'Nassauische Neue Presse' wrote on Monay 09OCT2000:
His advice was always appreciated: In memoriam Heinz-Willi Lottermann
Bad Camberg. For friends and to all to whom he was familiar it was a shock:
Heinz-Willi Lottermann suddenly died on Thursday (05OCT2000). At the age of 63 he suffered a
hearth attack at home and died immediately. The automobile mechanical master was known far
beyond the boundaries of his town trough, for instance, the VW Beetle Meetings he organized.
In 1952 his father established one gas station and automobile workshop at the Frankfurter
Street. Heinz-Willi Lottermann made his automobile mechanics study at this workshop. In 1964
he married Rita Kremer. The following years his three sons, Markus, Thomas and Stefan, came
to this world. In 1978 he assumed the workshop and the gas station. Under his management the
"Autohaus Lottermann" grew steadily. His brother Michael manages the driving school that was
also assumed from their father.
In many opportunities Heinz-Willi Lottermann was part of the group when the subject was to
make the city a bit more known - in the positive sense. In the city's administrative board
he belonged to the group of those whose advice was always considered. He knew how to make his
work and his hobby unisonous in a very special way, in such a manner that he managed to wake
up the interest for his hobby also in people less enthusiastic in this field. His passion for
collection brought contact with persons from all continents. Visitors from Japan, New Zealand,
Brazil, Australia and United States, not forgetting representative's form the European
countries, came regularly to Bad Camberg for the VW Beetle Meetings he organized every four
years. Other persons made use of his automobile license plates exchange purse (this was his
another hobby).
To the foreigners that visited those meetings he joyfully explained in details the different
exposed samples; he made them deeply know the different types of VW Beetle produced throughout
the years. Many will remember also his proper advices, given in many opportunities, always when
the subject was the economic progress of Bad Camberg.
