Beach Trip!
Place: Hellshire Beach,
Miss May's shack!
Date: 2nd January 2000
While
in Canada, i dreamt (and drooled) everyday about going back home
and eating all the Jamaican foods that i loved so much...my Grandparents
can cook Jamaican foods really good, but nothing compares to
getting the real taste from the real place. Especially when we're
talking about Escovietch Fish, Fried Lobsters, Bammy, Festival,
Raw Oysters and Pepper Shrimp.
Once
we got back to Jamaica, we started planning a major outing to
the Beach with all of our friends from church...we even managed
to postpone it for 2 weeks to wait for some friends who hadn't
arrived in country yet...so, on a bright Sunday morning (well
it was supposed to be!), after Sunday School, we all gathered
at my house before packing ourselves into the cars and driving
off to the seaside...Sherwin, in the lead car managed to lead
us around the entire country before we finally found the beach, Ricki,
in the second car almost caused me to rear-end him many times
by speeding up and then slowing down right in front of me, I drove the "Bus" with a bunch of rambunctious
kids...and Jason followed up behind...waaaayyyy behind!
But,
we managed to get to the beach without incident, and that's when
the Gnyamming began!...40 Fish, 50 Festival, 30 Bammy, 6 dozen
Raw Oysters and nuff Pepper Shrimp!...and all this was just for
Richie!...Hahah!!, seriously though...there was so much of us that people came up to me and asked where we had docked our "Boat"...you know...the one from China = )

As soon as we arrived on the scene, this bunch of Jokers
quickly occupied the main table and demanded to be fed...
Norman: "What Beer!?...you know i don't drink Alcohol...*Hiccup!*"
Gary: "Norman, gimme a sip of that beer please!"

Can these two lovely, young ladies tell us which beer
is better?...Red Stripe?...or Heineken?...I personally prefer
Red Stripe...Oh Yeah!...definitely the Red Stripe! = )
Mel: "Why'd you give me your Red Stripe Jeff?...is
this another one of your ploys to get me Drunk!?"
Cameraman: "Shucks, she figured it out!"
Sandra: "C'mon Mel, let's throw the bottles at him!"

The "Good" Girls Table

Bikinis, No Beer...Just Sodas! = )
Terri: "If you come any closer, i'm gonna whack you
with my handbag!"

While we were praying, the owner of the stall came over to ask why we were inspecting her plates = )
Norman: "Hey!, my plate's got a crack!...uhh, i mean...AMEN!!"
...Or tried to at least = )
Maria's hilarious prayer has everyone cracking up.
