Richie &
Cathy's B-Day Party!
Place: Lyew Residence
Date: 26th December 1999
On
the day after Christmas, our good friend "Richie" (a.ka.
"Buffalo Bill"), celebrated his 20th birthday (i knew
he had lots of gray hairs, but i didn't think he was THAT old!).
And as an added bonus, his younger sister's birthday coincided
with this date...more cake for everyone!!...
After
a strenuos game of Basketball at C.C.A, the gang met at Richie's
house to celebrate his birthday, by eating his food, destroying
his stereo system, and shining their boots on his arse (well,
at least I got to bum him at any rate!). The party began with
lots of music, courtesy of Chris and his MD player...dancing and
amusement were provided by those who were brave enough to dance.
Towards the end of the party, the entire group decided to go out
and get Richie drunk...but that's for another album = )

First Dance.
Benny and Sandra pair up for the first slow dance of
the evening.
Benny: "Look deep into my eyes...what do you see?"
Sandra: "I see a black eye if you don't watch where
you're putting your hands there Bub!"
Cassanova strikes Again!
This time Benny paired up with Melinda for what looks
to be a Waltz (what's this guy's secret?...he keeps getting all
the cute chics in the place!)
Benny: "1,2,3, and turn...1,2,3 and...smile for the
camera!"
Melinda: "Ow!, Hey watch where you're putting your
foot Romeo!"
Beauty...and the BEAST!
Melinda performed her share of community service by
posing with poor, lonely me for this picture...i'm soo happy!

Melinda: "All you have to do is open your mouth and
show your teeth like this...you know...SMILE..."
Jeff: "Err...how's this?...i can't do any better...i
forgot to brush my teeth this morning!"

Stephen and Melinda pair up for a pic...Aww...isn't

Stephen: "What's that you say?...my right foot is
longer than my left foot!?"
Melinda: "Wow!, Stephen is so Mawga, i can get both
arms around his waist!"
Leighton and Sandra.
Leighton runs out of steam and shifts into low gear
for a slow dance with Sandra. (good thing too, i don't think my
dear cuz could stand the hyper-active dance moves...and consequential
side-splitting laughter! = )
Leighton: "And this is the Russian Bear-Hug technique
i saw on Wrestlemania last night"
Sandra: "Ughh, i see that Jeff wasn't the only one
who didn't brush his teeth today..."
Stephen and Mel.
Stephen and Mel demonstrate the proper way to slow
dance.
Stephen: "It's a bit awkward being taller than my
dance partner"
Mel: "Hmm...maybe if i stand on tip-toes for a bit...darn,
should've worn my heels tonight"

Leighton just loves Lou Bega, and he showed his appreciation by singing and dancing for everyone's enjoyment...however, the fun ended quite abruptly when Leighton got to the part "A little bit of Sandra in the Sun"...Uh Oh, better start running Leighton, i think i see Richie coming...and he's got a knife! = )
Leighton: "Clap your hands once, and clap your hands
twice...and if it looks like this you're doing it right..."
Sandra: "This is so Hilarious!"
Mel: "Maybe if i don't look at him, i won't laugh
out loud..."
Benny: "Concentrate on the music...that's it...just
concentrate"
Dancing Fool?
Leighton shows off all the new dance moves he learnt
in Florida...to the delightment of onlookers.
Leighton: "Yeah Baby!...Yeah!!"
Melinda: ".........." (Utterly Speechless = )

Norman and Gary match wits in a game of NBA 2K.
Norman: "Slam Dunk!...in your face Gary!...Raptors
Rule!"
Gary: "This is so much fun...i think i'm falling asleep"
Chillin' Out.
Stephen and Sherwin take a break from all the action
to pose for the cameras.
Stephen: "Wanna dance with me?"
Cameraman: "Err...no thanks..."
Taking a Break.
Leighton stops dancing long enough for us to get a
photo of him.
Leighton: "You liked that last dance eh?...i'd show
you more, but i think i sprained my hip"
Lonely Boys.
Well, since Leighton threw his hip and i can't dance
to save my life, we both took permanent positions on the couch
and posed for the camera.
Leighton: "Want me to show you a few of my new dance
moves Jeff?"
Jeff: "Err...maybe another time..."
Birthday Boy...and Girl.
I know what you're thinking, but NO, both cakes aren't
for Richie...it just so happens to be Catherine's birthday as
well.
Richie: "Nobody better think about touching my cakes,
or i'll stab 'em with this knife"
Catherine: "Oh no, he's reaching for his knife, maybe
i better pull my hand back a little"
