Blue Mountain!

Place: Hollywell National Park, Blue Mountain
Date: Sometime in May

Blue Mountain is Jamaica's largest mountain range. A cool year-round climate and rich soil contribute to producing those coffee beans we all know and love. Blue Mountain is also the site of Hollywell Park, a favourite camping ground for picnickers, hikers, and people who just want some fresh air and a good view of Kingston.

The Chinese church decided to have their annual picnic at Hollywell this year, so our group decided to tag along for the trip (not to mention the free food!). So early one sunday morning, everyone from the church gathered at my house before setting out for the park at 10:00...All in all there were about 20 vehicles in our convoy...i decided to drive the "Exceed" since there were so many of us...but how do you fit 13 people into a van made for 8?...uncomfortably for sure!

It was a tight squeeze, but we managed to get everyone into the van and we set off after the rest of the convoy, which had driven off without us...half-way up the peak we finally caught up to them. but, unknown to us, the bad road conditions and the excess weight of our overloaded van caused the transmission pan on my van to crack, spilling precious transmission fluid all over the road. After finding a parking spot, we hurried on to the cabins!

Once there, we stuffed ourselves on Russian Borscht and Roasted chicken wings, before deciding to set out and find the fabled waterfall, which had eluded us for so many years. climbing first down, then up the mountain, we found the waterfall after 45 minutes of stumbling around in the brush. after much rejoicing and splashing, not to mention the obligatory picture-taking, we hurried back up to the cabins, only to find everyone packed and ready to leave...

It was't until the last car left the parking lot did we find out that we couldn't go anywhere without transmission fluid...we were stranded on the mountain-top for 2 hours while we waited for help...we had 4 cell-phones with us...but none of them worked...ironic isn't it?...it seemed that the real Blair Bitch Project had begun, night began to fall, the rain started to pour, and 13 wet and disgruntled teenagers tried to squeeze into a van made for 8...what became of these teens lost in the mountains?...watch the video to find out!! = )

The Blair Bitch Project 2: Horror at Hollywell!!

Richie was so fascinated by the sucess of the low-budget horror flick, "The Blair Witch Project", that he wanted to make his own movie, "the Blair Bitch Project"...unfortunately, the budget was non-existant, the actors sucked, and the footage induced massive nausea, the only scary thing in the video was Richie taking off his shirt!.

Norman's sprouted Wood!
