Introduction
We are "HIS CHILDREN", the chosen heirs of God ready to do his biding.  Our scripture reference is found in 1 John 3:2, which reads "Beloved, now we are the children of God, and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like him, for we shall see Him as He is."

HIS CHILDREN  origins began in 1994 as a result of members and University of Illinois students who attended Park Avenue Seventh-day Adventist Church.  We have been featured in concert and song for local churches and on programs. Our current  membership also include students from the area colleges.

Our mission is to perpetuate sacred music by serving the musical needs of Urbana-Champaign and the surrounding communities.  Each semester, we may accept a limited number of out-of-town engagements.

We serve these needs by rendering sacred music of the African-American culture (i.e., anthems, spirituals, contemporary and traditional Gospel selections) in order to draw minds to Christ and offer encouragement.  We also provide outlets for members to develop or enhance their talents, and provide an opportunity for individuals of diverse ethnic and demoninational backgrounds to assemble in Christian fellowship and song.  We are recognized as a Registered Student Organization of the University of Illinois.
