| Dakota'ha Shayne Whiteowl was born on November 16th, 1989. |

| A member of a military family, Cody found himself in Washington State, at the same time we were stationed there. Cody came to live with us in July, 1999, when he was nine years old. |

| We lived in Washington until Cody completed 6th Grade. |
| During the summer of 2002, we moved to Great Lakes, Illinois. Cody started school at Neal Math and Science Academy, the Junior High in North Chicago. He maintained honors for the entire year! Way To Go!!! |
| Cody was inducted into the National Junior Honor Society at the end of 7th Grade. |
| Cody tried Karate, but it just wasn't him...he says he wants to go back to soccer, but we think maybe just concentrate on studies for a while. |
| In June, Cody got to see Nova Scotia for the first time. He also got his first trip on the Scotia Prince. It was not the same as I remember, things change over time...but we still had fun, and Cody still got seasick. |
| In October, Cody was baptized at Queen of Peace, by Father Merold. His godparents are Marie and Rick. He will make his First Holy Communion and Confirmation at the Easter Vigil in 2004. |
