This is a photograph of the Glenaden Shirt factory, one of the very few factories still in existence today.
  
The Glenaden shirt factory at Trench Road is one of the very few shirt factories still in existance today. These premises were previously known as Welch Margetson who relocated from Carlisle Road in the early 1980's from an old 5 storey building to a new purpose built factory on one level which was more efficient and productive. It was subsequently taken over by Coates Viyella PLC in the late 1980's. It was then taken over by a management buy out in 2001.
