Highlights:
1. This was the first game of the season when everybody showed up.
2. Chris had a 2-goal game. First goal was a classic one - break away, Chris
was
patient for the goalie to go down and put the backhander top shelf. Chris
says 2 goals is his usual game output. Very good, and I think when you have
2 you are just 1 away from a hat-trick. Don't stop next time.
3. Jeff B had his first goal of the season combined with an assist - first
2-points game.
4. Ken appeared in his first game of the season and made it count right away
with a goal and an assist
5. Three players - Chris, Jeff B, and Ken - had 2 points each and did all
the scoring in this game.
6. And everyone remembers Tod's glove save on the point blank shot in the
winding minutes of the 3rd period. It was the save of the game. Even the ref
was amazed. Did I mention Tod is the best goalie I've ever known. :-)
7. By the way, we have a tough guy on our team. Did anybody guess who he is?
Last game Ralph got 6 minutes in penalties making it total of 10 for the season.
:-) (Ralph, no offence, just numbers). So, the other teams should know now
that we have a guy who can stand up for us when needed.
Overall, it was another good game, third in a row (which is another record for us). Next game is June 30, Saturday, at 6:15 pm in San Mateo. Hope to see everyone there again.
