Day 2 When we arrived at Lhasa (拉薩) Airport, the sky was clear and blue. I said to myself, 'Tibet! I am here!'. When we were waiting for the our 'limo' in the Airport lobby, we saw a girl most likely from Hong Kong as well, just fainted in front of us and was taken to the hospital. This was our first encounter of the seriousness of high attitute sickness (高山效應). |

We stayed at Pentoc Hostel (八朗學旅館) which is not that far away from another backpacker's preference - Yak Hotel. When we took our backpack to our rooms at 1/F by stairs, we all found we ran out of breath. We had to climb the stairs really slow. |

Normally it takes about 6 hours for high attitude symptom to start affecting the body. We went to the little cozy resturant inside the hostel. I ordered the famous yak burgar. By the time when it was ready, I could't even take a bite as the high attitude symptom was really affecting me. I was between bed and toilet for the rest of the day. |
