Fairy Tales and Beauty in the Age of Utilitarianism

Description

Utilitarian age was viewed by critics as negative and ugly one. Things happened at that time were commented as ‘grasping’ by Utilitarian. However, it’s not the truth. Beauty is moral in nature, and one of it’s’ functions is to renew the society and to give a positive idea to people. I would like to explore the ideas and comments of Utilitarian to beauty by looking at the fairy tales written by Victorian writers.
