When Shan Cai is returning home after work, she sees Ah Si waiting for her. She is happy to see him. Embarrassed to tell her that he came back because of her, he tells her he much prefers Taiwan. However, he feels extremely tired from the flight and suffers from jet lag. Shan Cai’s mother sees the two of them standing outside the house. Upon realizing that Ah Si is not feeling well, she makes Ah Si go into their house. 

Ah Si is appalled at how small the house is. Shan Cai’s parents set up a small cozy corner for the couple to sleep in. They shut themselves in the balcony and intend to sleep there that night.  

Ah Si asks Shan Cai how she felt when he was not around in Taiwan. Shan Cai does not answer him. However, Ah Si still sleeps with a smile.  

Meanwhile, the other 3 members of the F4 are waiting at the mansion. After a while, they realize that Ah Si has probably gone to find Shan Cai. 

The next morning, Ah Si tells Shan Cai that he cannot wear the same clothes for two days in the row. She lets him wear her father’s clothes that are too small for him. However, he thinks they are very ugly. Upset, Shan Cai then tells him to change back into his own clothes. Shan Cai’s parents are happy that the young couple arguing over such small matters. To her mother, such small arguments are a sign of their love for each other.  

Instead of going to school, Ah Si drags Shan Cai to shop for clothes. She is horrified at the prices of the clothes there. Ah Si tries top after top and pants after pants. Although Shan Cai thinks that he looks good in all the clothes, she keeps criticizing every set of clothes.  

When the two finally get to school, they meet up with the rest of the F4. Qing He sees Ah Si and is upset that he is back. He asks Shan Cai why she is with him. Ah Si proudly tells Qing He that he slept over at Shan Cai’s place the night before. While Shan Cai tries to explain things to Qing He, Ah Si and Lei makes up and F4 is back to as it was before. 

At the studio, Lei plays his violin and remembers his happy memories with Shan Cai. 

Shan Cai returns home and sees the whole house in a mess. Her father had borrowed from loan sharks and lost all the money in buying lottery. Her mother is distraught. 

Shan Cai decides to borrow the money from Ah Si to pay the loan sharks first. Ah Si agrees without hesitating. However, he has a condition and asks Shan Cai to meet him outside her house on Saturday at 1pm.

Xi Men makes the F4 go to an art gallery. Usually, Ah Si would complain about going such boring places but he actually seems happy. On questioning him, Ah Si does not reveal anything except that he is happy that Saturday is approaching soon. 

On Saturday, Shan Cai is about to leave her house to meet Ah Si when her mum’s friend asks if she could help baby-sit her son for the day. Shan Cai has no choice but to bring the little boy, Xiao Long, along with her to meet Ah Si. 

On meeting Ah Si, she realizes that going out with him is the way to repay him the money. Ah Si is shocked to see the little boy with her and is upset there will be a light bulb between them the whole day. Xiao Long asks Shan Cai to bring him to the zoo. Ah Si reluctantly goes to the zoo with Xiao Long and Shan Cai. 

At the zoo, Xiao Long is all excited on seeing the animals but Ah Si sulks the whole day long. However, when Xiao Long is tired (but does not want to take a rest because the zoo is closing), Ah Si decides to carry him and sits him on his shoulder. Together, the trio looks like a family. 

By the end of the day, Xiao Long has fallen asleep in Ah Si’s arms. Ah Si tells Shan Cai that she does not need to return him the money. She asks him why he is so nice to her. Ah Si cannot believe that she still does not understand that he likes her and so tells her that its because she is stupid. Appalled at his reply, she argues with him. They get into a heated argument and Ah Si storms off. Shan Cai tells Xiao Long not to be like Ah Si when he grows up next time but Xiao Long thinks that Ah Si is quite all right. 

The rest of the F4 are at Ah Si’s mansion drinking. Xi Men and Mei Zuo tease Ah Si about his date when he comes back. However, Ah Si’s unhappy face tells them that he and Shan Cai had been quarrelling. Mei Zuo and Xi Men laughs at Ah Si for not being able to control Shan Cai. An angry Ah Si yells at them but the two are too drunk to take it seriously. 

At work, Shan Cai is trying to find extra work from the newspaper to support the family as well as return Ah Si the money. A customer enters to buy cake and notices the newspaper and the circles on it. He asks if Shan Cai is interested in working as a model and gives her a name card. 

After work, Shan Cai runs into a fortune-teller. She tells Shan Cai that there is a guy very close to her and that if Shan Cai were to be with that guy, tragedy will strike. To obtain happiness, Shan Cai must cut off all relations with the guy. Shan Cai thinks that the guy she is talking about could be Ah Si. Also, the fortune-teller tells Shan Cai to find a boyfriend younger than her. 

Shan Cai decides to go for the modeling job. She enters a run-down room and quickly settles down for a test photo shoot. While taking pictures of Shan Cai, the photographer keeps telling her to unbutton her shirt. She realizes that there want models for adult magazines and immediately stands up to leave. However, the three men surround her and wants to take off her clothes. At that moment, someone knocks on the door. One of the men opens it and it is the delivery boy (acted by Lin Zu En). The other two men try to hide Shan Cai but the delivery boy sees her. He notices that Shan Cai is struggling and warns them to let her go. He beats them up and grabs Shan Cai. The two run off quickly. 

Once free, the delivery boy, Xiao Shun, scolds Shan Cai for going to such places. He believes that she is one of those materialistic girls who wants to be a star and is thus easily duped. However, Shan Cai defends her stand and reveals that if it is not because of her family situation she would never have gone for the photo shoot. Feeling bad that he had wronged her, Xiao Shun buys a drink for her. He also offers to get her a job at the fast food outlet, Burger King, which he works at.  

Shan Cai now has to rush off after school as she is taking on two jobs. Ah Si questions Qing He. The latter tells him that she is working so hard so as to return him the money. 

After work at Burger King, Xiao Shun asks if Shan Cai is adapting well to the work. She admits that it is hard work but knows she does not have a choice if she wants to return Ah Si the money. Xiao Shun also tells Shan Cai to stand by her father’s side no matter what. In order to thank Xiao Shun for introducing her the job and saving her, she decides to give him a small treat. Ah Si happens to see how close they are from the window. Angered, he storms into Burger King and punches Xiao Shun. Shan Cai is shocked. She remembers what the fortune-teller said and warns Ah Si to stay away from her. He yells at her, calling her loose, as she is always so close to other guys. Feeling insulted, she tells him off for always coming to his own conclusions and that a boy and a girl do not always have to be more than friends. She chases him away and warns him never to come near her again. 

The next day, Xi Men demonstrates to Ah Si how to apologize to Shan Cai. However, Ah Si refuses to apologize to her. They all feel that he went too far this time, calling her loose and beating up her friend without knowing the truth. Lei warns Ah Si that she may really not talk to him ever again. Ah Si tells him he does not care. However, when Shan Cai appears with Qing He, Ah Si softens again. Xi Men urges him to apologize. When Ah Si tries to call her, she walks right past him. Even when Lei stops her, telling her that Ah Si has something to say to her, she tells them that from now on, she is going to treat him as an invisible person and not bother about him anymore. 

That night after work, Xiao Shun and Ah Si leave together. Meanwhile, Mei Zuo and Xi Men accompanies Ah Si to find Shan Cai so as to apologize to her. However, when Shan Cai spots them, she pushes Xiao Shun into a corner to hide. He asks her why Ah Si had beaten him up. When she does not answer, he guesses that it is because Ah Si likes her and is jealous when he sees them together. However, Shan Cai shrugs it off by saying that Ah Si is just crazy. 

Mei Zuo and Xi Men keep urging Ah Si to go on and apologize. He remains reluctant. The two of them starts criticizing Shan Cai for being flat chested, loudmouth and lacks gentleness. But, since Ah Si likes her, he has no choice but to apologize. In the meantime, Xiao Shun and Shan Cai hears their criticism. Xiao Shun hurls abuses in their direction and Shan Cai pulls him away immediately. They run off and Shan Cai chides him for scolding the F4. But she admits that it was quite a relief to scold them.

Xiao Shun asks Shan Cai if she was willing to pose for a magazine with him. He assures her that it is safe as furthermore, she will be with him. She agrees reluctantly. 

The next day, the photo shoot went well. 

Shan Cai sees the fortune-teller again. She does not remember Shan Cai. Instead, she tells Shan Cai to let go of the past, and not dwell on it. After she leaves, Xiao Shun asks Shan Cai who she is. While Shan Cai thinks she is a great fortune-teller, Xiao Shun thinks otherwise. However, after Shan Cai and Xiao Shun leave, the fortune-teller is taken away by some nurses from the hospital. Apparently, she is a mental patient who had escaped from the hospital.

Feeling that the fortune-teller is right, Shan Cai is all the more determined to stay away from the F4.

Qian Hui and Bai He are looking at some magazines when they spot Shan Cai and Xiao Shun’s intimate poses in a magazine for a lewd article. Disgusted and up to no-good, they decide to show the magazine to Ah Si. 

In school, Shan Cai receives a call from Xiao Shun to meet outside school for a while. After she leaves, Ah Si, holding the magazine, approaches Qing He to look for Shan Cai. 

Xiao Shun shows Shan Cai the magazine and Shan Cai is offended by the article. She regrets taking the photos but Xiao Shun assures her that no one will notice. Ah Si appears and asks Shan Cai why she is with Xiao Shun again. She shrugs him off but Xiao Shun tells Ah Si that they are ‘partners’. He taunts Ah Si and asks if he is jealous. Shan Cai is shocked at Xiao Shun’s attitude and tries to stop him from saying more. Xiao Shun continues mocking Ah Si and says that once Shan Cai is not within his view, he gets worried and uneasy. Angered, Ah Si grabs Xiao Shun by the throat. Xiao Shun urges Shan Cai to clarify matters with Ah Si there and then. He knows that Shan Cai has been bullied by Ah Si and tells her that in order to get away from him once and for all, she must be honest with her feelings. Ah Si tries to shut him up and punches Xiao Shun. Shan Cai does not know what to say. She stops Ah Si and tells him that she does not like anyone. Being with Ah Si makes her feel like she has no freedom at all. She just wants to be an ordinary girl, and not someone who is under Ah Si’s control. 

Xiao Shun and Shan Cai is about to leave when Ah Si speaks. He tells Shan Cai that he really likes her. He likes Shan Cai so much that he is finding it ridiculous. He knows that he can be very irritating but he just wants Shan Cai to know that as long as she runs away, he will go after her. He will follow her wherever she goes, even to hell.
