Motherboard

A motherboard is the main circuit board in a PC, most modern motherboards come with the following features:

• A processor slot
• AGP slot
• Memory banks
• PCI slots
• USB ports
• IDE interface

These are some features that a motherboard may have as standard, some motherboards come with functional parts such as sound card , graphics card , modem and more.

All the components inside your PC connect to the motherboard in one way or another, a few examples:

• PCI slots for modems and sound cards.
• Memory banks used for RAM .
• AGP slots are used for display cards
• IDE interfaces are used to connect and control IDE devices such as hard drives and CD-ROM drives.

The choice of motherboard will depend on what purpose of your work and what processor you intend to use in your PC.
