We embrace diversity and differences and respect each and every story that have been told. We would love to provide the space for the differences to be contained and communicated. Founded in March 2003, we are dedicated in sharing with people through Playback Theatre.

What is Playback Theatre?Playback Theatre is an original form of improvisational theatre in which audience or group memberstell stories from their lives and watch them enacted on the spot. Whether in theatres, workshops, educational or clinical settings, playback theatre draws people closer as they see their common humanity.
Playback Theatre was founded in 1975 in the Mid-Hudson Valley in New York by Jonathan Fox

Why do we want to do Playback Theatre?Hong Kong is suffering from SARS that stops us from breathing freely. All we could do is talk behind our masks.Being one of the first to be trained by Veronica Needa when she brought Playback to us as a present in 1997, we feel that Playback is the most precious present we could ever have dreamt of. It provides the space that we could unmask our feelings and emotions, knowing that we would be respected and listened, which is exactly what we need. Therefore, we would like to share with as many people as we could. We would love to see more people enjoying theatre and feeling the magic of it. We believe that it's not about the high technology or the high production cost that makes good theatre. Everyone should be able to enjoy and to engage in theatre through their simple ways.
