米高安甘 Mike Ingham                    改編/導演 Adapter/ Director

 

嶺南大學英文系助理教授,專門研究戲劇電影及劇場教育。早期在歐洲定期演出,來港後開始導演作品,先後為The Hong Kong PlayersQueen’s Café Company及劇場行動執導,並為劇場行動之創立人之一。導演作品包括威尼斯商人(1994)、蛻變(1997)、巴奧傳──英語部分(1998•北京)及Abigail’s Party2000),又翻譯/改編了薩特作品NO EXIT2000•乙城節)。曾飾演角色包括Pinter作品The Caretaker中之流浪漢、Beckett作品Ohio Impromptu其中一人,NO EXIT中之Gus,及多個莎劇人物。對改編戲劇的理論和實踐、及劇場語言/符號學有濃厚興趣。至於放棄現有職業,全身投入創作,則未敢痴想。

 

Mike Ingham works as an assistant professor in the English Department of Lingnan University, where he specializes in drama and film studies and theatre in education.  After acting regularly in Europe he started directing on moving to Hong Kong.  He has subsequently acted in and directed productions for The Hong Kong Players, Queens Café Company and Theatre Action, of which he was a founding member.  Hong Kong productions directed by Mike include The Merchant of Venice (1994), Metamorphosis (1997), Baal – English sections (1998 Beijing) and Abigail’s Party (2000).  He also translated and adapted the Sartre NO EXIT for the City Festival in 2000 at the Fringe.  He played the old tramp in Pinter’s The Caretaker (1999), one of the characters in Beckett’s Ohio Impromptu (1999) and Gus in NO EXIT (2000), as well as interpreting numerous Shakespearean roles.  Mike’s special interests in theatre include adaptation theory and practice and theatre language/ semiotics.  Mike has no intention of giving up his day job!

香港大學文學士﹝翻譯﹞、哲學碩士﹝比較文學﹞,於倫敦Middlesex University藝術及演藝學院完成博士論文。

 

不定期撰寫評論及文學創作,在本地及歐洲報刊發表。亦曾參與戲劇演出,及為香港大學持續進修學院設計戲劇及文學課程。現職於嶺南大學翻譯系。

 

編輯書籍包括《詰問與嬉戲:林克歡藝術文化評論集》﹝與劉敏儀合編﹞、《我的名字不是布萊希特》﹝與盧偉力合編﹞、《香港戲劇山海經》﹝與小西合編﹞及《允執厥中─關於中國性的討論》。將出版書籍包括著作Ink Dances in Limbo: The Works of Gao Xingjian及合編書籍Contemporary Hong Kong Theatre。

 

Jessica Yeung holds a B.A. (Translation) and an M. Phil (Comparative Literature).  She has just finished her Ph.D. thesis on xiqu (Chinese opera) and Chinese modernity.  She has been writing both creative and critical works since the early 1990s.  Her performing arts criticism bas been published in Hong Kong and in Europe.  She has also been engaged in xiqu and modern theatre productions.  Her last role in Hong Kong was Gregor in the Theatre Action production of Metamorphosis in 1997.

 

She is at present serving as Chairman for the Hong Kong Chapter of the International Association of Theatre Critics.  She teaches Translation at Lingnan University, but she is in truth a plain-clothes arts critic.  She is currently planning her retirement!
