"I think I've met you before." He smiled. He was strikingly good-looking.
"Oh yes? Where?" She was puzzled.
"Are you a student of HKU? I think I've met you there." He said.
"Yes," she nodded.
"Nice to meet you! My name is Nick, and yours?"
"Marjorie." She answered curtly.
"Oh! Marjorie... a very nice name!"
"Thanks!" She smiled and then she returned to her book.
He didn't ask her anything more as if he didn't want to disturb her.
She did notice that he put a musical instrument case on the empty chair
next to him.
She was so curious about what musical instrument that was.
A violin, she guessed.
~They stayed silent for about fifteen minutes~
Marjorie thought : Should I say something this moment?
No... I think I'd better wait till he speaks first.
Or... oh, forget it! Maybe he just found me so familiar
and wanted to make sure something, that's all.
But...I think at least he did notice me at
the University of Hong Kong. Otherwise, he wouldn't ...
Oh! He seems to finish his food and is going to leave.
"Bye!" Nick said politely with a smile and left.
