About "Seagull"

“Seagull” is the brand name which introduced by Shanghai Photographic Equipment Company since 1960. At the beginning, it is called “Shanghai 4”. For the political reason, “the name of the cities must not use for any commercial products”. Therefore, “Seagull 4A” replaced “Shanghai 4”, and supplied to use in all government departments. It considered as high quality equipment. In the early to mid 20 Century, the leaving sources for the people in China was very limit. So, the less expensive 4B and the innovated 4B-1 were introduced to the market. Around 20 to 30 years, Seagull Camera became very popular over the whole mainland China and also introduced to oversea until today.
