十數年前 , 元朗區的商店只能滿足生活的最基本需要 . 但隨政府在元朗的銳意發展 , 商人們亦同時看準時機 , 大舉在元朗開設店舖和購物中心 . 現在的元朗 , 購物方便程度已與市區沒有兩樣 .

In the old days, Yuen Long has few shops concerning some basic needs only (e.g. rice, oil, etc.). With the development of Yuen Long in these years, many big shops or shopping malls have been built. Now, Yuen Long resident can shop in Yuen Long easily.
