        He apprenticed to Ghirlandajo for three years . It was because he had nothing to learn from his teachers .

        He had done the "Pieta", "David", "Moses" and the creation of "Adam".

        He made "The School of Athens".

5    What scientific discovery did Copernicus make in 1543?

        His discovery is about the universe. He found out that the sun was the center of the universe . The world  move around the sun.

6    What were some of the scientific achievements of Galileo?

        He showed that things of the same shape and size but with different weights fell to the ground at the same 

        speed, discovered the pendulum theory, made the world's first telescope to study the sun's movement in 

        1969, supported the idea of Copernicus about the universe by studying the sun's movement with this 

        telescope.

7    How did Renaissance doctors find out the real cause of illness?

        The doctors started to cut up people's dead bodies. They learnt about blood circulation and the inside of the 

        human body from cutting up dead bodies.

        Medieval writers wrote in the Latin language, even if they were not Italians.

        Builders in Renaissance times copied many ideas from the ancient greek and Romans. They built 

        dome-shaped churches with tall columns, like the ancient Greco-Roman buildings.  

11  How did Renaissance ideas lead to the Reformation?

        A German monk named Martin Luther started the Reformation in 1517. He protested against the 

        wrong doings of the Catholic church. This protect started a new Christians Church called Protestantism

        in Europe.   


12  How did Renaissance thinking lead to the Enlightenment?

        Europeans found many wrong thins in the past beliefs . This changed their thinking. Europeans began to use reason to solve problems.
