The Flag Of Crab
Part 1
The warmth of the sun was encircling Soldier Crab. He had first breathed
in oxygen 16 years ago, but he could remember nothing.
Errac Waterweed, a female, accidentally found Soldier lying on a beach as
if he was dead when she was going back home. She went to touch him and she found
that he was only overloaded. Without suspecting why he was there, she pulled him
back to her hut all by herself and nursed him well. He lay on her bed for two
days before he gained back his consciousness. By the time he woke up both of
them were frightened. Soldier did not know where he was and Errac was afraid of
his rudeness. As soon as Soldier learnt how he was carried and saved, they
dropped their self-consciousness.
Errac could finally ask the question which she had practised during these
two days. ¡§Why were you lying on the beach in such a bad shape?¡¨ Soldier
could not answer her. He tried hard to remember what he had done before giving
way to darkness two days ago. However, it was as if he had just come into this
world. He could not tell anything before his unconsciousness. He was frustrated.
He knew that there was something he had to do, but he could not say what it was.
Errac comforted him, ¡§Don¡¦t worry. Let by-gone be by-gone. It is better.¡¨
But no matter what she said, he was mad at himself. Luckily he was so exhausted
that he could not stay awake.
It took him another three days to walk by himself again. By that time he was much more happier. He seemed to have forgotten what had happened in the past. He began to help Errac to do the housework.
