My GuZheng

This was the GuZheng I hired during learning. It's 140cm long, 21-string with two separates 'legs'.

It's just medium size only, but it's really heavy. Don't know how could I bring it home by myself...

When I practised, it made the room so full. When I didn't practise, it 'stood' at a corner in the living room.

Left photo shows the left side of the GuZheng, it's called 'End of Zheng' (箏尾).

GuZheng with different models and brands will have different drawings.

The one I hired was bamboo. I love it very much.

Right photo presents the left side of the GuZheng, it's called 'Head of Zheng' (箏頭).

Characters '箏樂悠揚' were written, with the logo of the learning centre at below.

A side shot of the GuZheng, featuring the '箏碼'. They are responsible for changing tunes.

The green strings are 'Re', a very good marking for learners.

            Dear You,

Before I attended classes in GuZheng, I thought

about it quite a long time. Fortunately I found

a course that was fit my expected time and place.

So, I took that precious chance and started to

learn and play. In the class, some students are

already a GuZheng player! They are keen on

playing it. One of them even had an antique

GuZheng at home! It's quit unbelievable for

            me.

Thank you for visiting this simple website. I do

it for a record of my time in learning

GuZheng.  The recording quality was not good &  I

still think the sound is not genuine... Anyway,

hope you can hear the melody.

If you have anything to say please deliver to me &

                thank you for your ears!

                                                                              Love,

                                                                              Alice 1.07
