As a little surprise before christmas and to relieve the overcrowded servers we decided to start a new game world: Hiberna. It's a normal game world with enabled player vs. player combat located in Germany. During the next days only premium players are allowed to log in. To keep the number of characters on Rookgaard on a reasonable level, the maximum number of players is limited as well. In a few days we will raise the limit and also allow free account players to join Hiberna . We wish everyone a great holiday season!

It's Christmas again, and like every year we present a major update. All you need to do is to start your Tibia client and the update will be installed automatically. Please note that you should not use a changed graphics library for your client or the patching of the client will fail. If the automatic update does not work for you, you can also download the complete new Tibia client version 7.2.
Here is a list of the most important new features and changes. Please read it carefully!
1. A new area near Carlin and some revised areas like Ulderek's Rock. Also, there are some new items and monsters to discover.
2. New character outfits (for premium account players) as well as improved graphics.
3. A quest system! We have revised many quests and treasure places in Tibia. As a consequence there will be real rewards for the difficult quests, among them some legendary items.
4. Monsters are smarter now and use more varied combat tactics. Be careful when approaching stronger monsters!
5. Automatic marking of aggressive players and player killers on all worlds where player vs. player combat is enabled. Please read the new manual page carefully.
6. New Tibia Rules! We ask all of you to read the new rules. Everybody should follow them to make sure that Tibia is fun for all.
7. Tutors! Players who like to help other players may become tutors if they meet certain requirements and pass a special test. Tutors assist other players with questions about the game. A detailed tutor guide can be found here.
8. Also, there are many minor changes such as automatic disconnection of inactive characters, replacement of the "Amulet of Life" and diagonal movement of characters and monsters.

Small changes of the gameplay
We have changed some features in Tibia and fixed some bugs concerning game weaknesses and powergaming. Some of them have already been effective for a week, others are coming online today.
One important change is that summoned and convinced monsters will no longer yield experience points. This also applies to children of monsters, e.g., poison spiders of giant spiders. Instead they will also die when their parent dies. The experience points of the parents have been risen adequately. Besides that, the behaviour of strong monsters has been changed. So be careful when you attack these monsters.
That means some monsters like skeletons of beholders, poison spiders of giant spiders. They maybe will have more exp points now. And the importance changed was the behaviour of strong monsters. They're attack style maybe changed to ramdom attack the master of summoner, so becareful :)

UPDATE:
Due to the hacking of the database we changed all passwords and recovery keys. You will receive an email at the address your account is registered to. If you have no access to your email account you cannot log in in the next time. We will work on a solution for this problem and inform you in the next days.
Please also remember the following:
1. NOBODY WILL EVER ASK YOU FOR YOUR PASSWORD!
Only you know your password. Even we don't know your password from now. Nobody of the CIP-Team will ever ask for your password. Remember it and DO NOT tell it to anyone else.
2. ONLY ENTER YOUR PASSWORD AT OUR SITE!
You need your password to log into the account website at www.tibia.com and to log into the game with the original Tibia Client. DO NOT enter it at any other websites or any other programs.
Our service will go online on September 22nd around 11:00 CEST.
We hope that we can soon continue our normal work, the work on the next bigger game update you are already expecting for a long time!

Hacking attack on Tibia's servers
In the night from September 17 to September 18 one of our servers was hacked. Unfortunately the hacker got access to our central database. Therefore we had to shutdown our complete service. We are currently patching all servers and changing important parts of our data structure to ensure more security in the future. A complete reset to a state before the hack is inevitable. Of course we will do our best to be online again as soon as possible and provide a compensation to all premium players for their lost time. In addition, we started investigations to identify and prosecute the hacker. More details about this incident will be announced once our normal web server is available again.
We hope that we can soon continue our normal work, the work on the next bigger game update you are already expecting for a long time!

A guy use the name "The Mind Liberator" posted a msg on tibia.de's board and recognize he hacked in to tibia's servers. It must a risk he in the case.
I copy something he said at the following :
" About the hack: I am doing all this for your own good.
About his website: I want all you to realize how much you all need Tibia, this is why I decided to hack tibia servers
You will sooner or later understand why I choose to do this and you will thank me "
If it really he did, police will track him down, and he will get several years in jail !

Due to serious problems with our servers we are forced to shutdown our complete service temporarily.
We are working hard to solve several remaining problems to get Tibia online again as soon as possible. We are very sorry for the inconveniences. Of course, our players with Premium Accounts will get a compensation for the premium time they lost.

Small changes on the world map |

Today the map of all game worlds has been updated to correct many old flaws. In the course of these changes we've added a new small premium area on Rookgaard. Additionally some bugfixes concerning the usage of items and the levitate spell have been installed.
Something had been changed. For the example: POH's tample put in a new stair to up to tample. To Prevent some player block the way from there.
Also make where under cyc mountain's bridge with stair to up and down. Prevent monster lurn.A great edition part in this update is rockland's prem. acc areas. Respawn fast.
Other updated place is waiting for you to explore. Guys, prepare to move ;)

Stockade Of Tibia formal to disbanded on 09-08-2003. We are happy that we keep going in before 3 months.And now just need to say, we at least meet you all in the life of tibia. Don't ask me about when will I create a new guild. If any problem, welcome you msg me in game.
