Louis Eliot "The Long Way Round" Live at Hard Rock Cafe

Wow!! It's my very first time going to Hard Rock Cafe tonight! Hehehee....All excited~! And it's my very first time going to see Louis Eliot! Frankly, I ain't a big fan of him or Rialto...I do prefer Suede to them ;) But some of their songs are pretty nice :) And so are the ones that Louis just wrote...It's a really great chance to be there and stuff :)

It says on the ticket that the show would start at 9.30pm but the staff said we won't be allowed to get in til 9.30pm and the show would probably be started at 10pm -.- So we just went to have dinner in a pretty nice restaurant and shopped a bit in a CD store nearby just to kill some time...

Holy Shit! There were quite a long queue outside the cafe when we got back to there >.< When we got there before we had dinner, there were no one outside *sigh* Stupid us should get back to the cafe earlier...

We could finally get in after a long waiting time...Darn! It was really out of our expectations >.< We thought there would be some tables and chairs for us so that we could enjoy the show with the free pepsi coke...Apparently, there were chairs that put in front of the small stage...Fans that came in after us ran to the stage and sat as close as they could to the stage...We didn't think it would be great to see the show like this...so we just stood at the back where was the front standing row ;) heheh...

We did have another long waiting...God, it was getting late and I was feeling all sleepy :( Chet Lam, the supporting act came out and performed a few songs at the very start...Well...Ain't fond of his music...and I really couldn't quite understand his lyrics, Viv even said he got grammatical mistakes in his lyrics *lol* It's just a typical HK guy...nothing special...As Sadie said, we came to see Louis not him...HAHA

Julian, the musician came out and tuned the guitars for a bit...and it's so funny to see his face...Hahaha...Vivi even saw him saying 'not perfect' It's not a place that supposed to perform anyway...we know it's all annoying too, Ju~ HAHAHA

And finally Louis came out, looked all good and stuff :) He greeted the audience and started the show off by playing 'Party Games' which I ain't familiar with...But he did help me forget my sleepiness and my sore legs hehee...I didn't know it was an acoustic gig at first, but glad that it was cos I had never been to a show like that one ;)

Here is the setlist:
- Party Games
- Heaven's In Your Eyes
- Falling
- Untouchable
- Everybody Loves You When You're Dead
> - Heart Shaped Bruise
- She Is Moving On
- Warmth Of The Sun
- Country Life
- Monday Morning 5.19

Encore:
- Summer's Over
- Nowhere Man
- Go To Sleep

We did take lots of pics of Louis and Julian which was great :) I tried to take one of Louis when he was looking at our side but in vain :( But it was a really great show...Louis did enjoy his time and played so hard though the audience ain't that into the mood, yeah they were sitting/ standing still like the woods -.-...It's kinda weird that they didn't evveen clap their hands as he sang...Anyway...I was kinda shocked that Louis played 'Nowhere Man' during the encore! :D People did think that he looks like John Lennon...Well...I just suddenly felt that it was really a loss to us that John died while watching the show. It's really funny that only I and Viv sang along with Louis, seemed like no one knows the words HAHA

And we had to queue up for getting the signed CD after the show...It was in a mess :( And while we were waiting, I saw Julian came out and signed for fans...So we went to him immediately while leaving Sadie queued up for the CDs...Julian was really nice to take pics with us and signed ;) I do think that he looked so familiar...and Viv told me that he was an ex member of Rialto! Hehe...Lucky us~

We did tried to get behind the red curtains where Louis and his staff were resting...The staff just said that he would come out later and meet his fans~! And so we went near the stage and saw Louis again! He was signing and taking photos with his fans~ AwwwˇKwe couldn't get close to him tho there were quite less fans around himˇKand the staff blocked us a bit so that he could get onto the stage and signed for his fans. We were in such a long queue >.< And got so jealous when the fans took pics with him >.< Sadie stood in front of meˇKAnd she gave Louis the CD to signˇKI just heard her saying, "I'm Sadie" and Louis looked at her and said, "Sadie!" and then signedˇKHe did wink at her after the signing but she just didn't notice *lol* Then itˇ¦s my turn to give my CD to Louis, the staff next to him handed him my CD but he didnˇ¦t know it was mine..hehe..I was really nervous >_< I got so nervous already when I was watching SadieˇKI donˇ¦t know why. So I told Louis, "My name is Lilian" and he said, "Lilian!" and I spelt him the word and he followed me..haha that was nice ;)

After we both got the signing, we waited a side for taking photos with Louis, the staff next to him didn't allow us to take pics with him right after the signingˇKLouis did walk away after the signing on the promotion poster and photos taking with the Hard Rock Café staff .\=/.### The staff that promised letting us take photos with him went away too! So we went back to the red curtains and tried to get inˇKThe staff didnˇ¦t allow us to certainly L But luckily, there was a guy walked in and left the curtains opened ;) HEHeheˇKWe saw some fans went in and took pics with Louis >.< So we tried to get close to him too. His staff tried to send us away politely, heˇ¦s not a bodyguard, but it's so nice of him to be so kind and not yelling at us ;) Viv even lied to him that Louis asked us to get in there for taking pics with him and that he promised *lol* Louis was so kind to walk closer to us and said "Last picture" heheeˇKI took a pic of Viv and Louis but it's sooooo dark there and I couldnˇ¦t quite see them in the camera >.< Sadie and I went next to him as soon as Viv finished ;) I got a chance to stand next to Louis and hold heheheˇK

We did want to stay there for a bit longer but it's getting so late that we were afraid there might no trains to get home >.< So we took the last few pics in the Hard Rock Café and rushed to the MTR station as fast as we could J

It's such a great experience, we did enjoy our time J And the photos turned out kinda good too tho we were quite far away from the stage J That's a good thing. Lets hope there will be more gigs like that one~
