The
Momus VS The Pancakes, Party Party!
Yeah, two entries on the same day. Cos I went to a show with Vivi tonight. I
decided to go last Saturday cos Viv wanted to go so much but she had no one to
go with, and mum and dad didn't let her go alone, so I just went with her and
gained some experiences.
It said the show would start at 9.30pm and we only took us 45mins to get there,
so we got there really early...it's not a difficult to find though, and the
building is just soooo beautiful ;) an old British style building :)
And there were not too many people, but I didn't quite feel good being there, I
got a feeling that I shouldn't be there cos it seemed like I wasn't the same
type of people as the others were...But I was just going with Viv, who cares?
Everyone went to the bar before the show started, they all drank alcohol and
stuff and smoked their cigarette when Viv and I were more like two little girls
who weren't belonged there at all...
The Momus was being so friendly and nice, he just sat somewhere on the sofa,
some flirty girls went and sat next to him that we got no chance to take photos
with him at all...Oh well..
The Pancakes was the the first performer, she played almost ten songs which I
knew none at all, and I did notice that some people did go there just for her,
those weird Hong Kong just didn't want to sit on the floor so they block me from
watching her play, I still couldn't see anything tho I stood up like they did
anyway, so I just sat on the end of sofa as Viv sat right next to the Momus...
I wasn't a fan of the Pancakes tho I did read her stuff that she used to write
for a magazine...She wasn't a showing-off type of girls though, but wasn't one
that I would admire or anything.
So after a very short break, the Momus performed...His music was sooooo new to
me cos I had never heard his stuff at all...I guess Viv did send me his stuff
before but I don't think I did notice so at all.
Anyway, the whole show wasn't bad if you're into his music. But I did feel a bit
boring, maybe it's because his music wasn't my cup of tea but still, his stuff
was really good :) And his way of performing was funny and unique. I do like the
song that he did with the pancakes, I would post up the lyric as soon as I found
it.
Too bad that we had to go right after the encore cos we had to catch the last
train...Viv did feel bad that we couldn't take a photo with him, but to me, it
wasn't a really bad thing, maybe it's because I ain't a big fan of him at all,
but I did take lots of pics of him for Viv, hope they do turn out good :D
