You are the visitor to this site.
Hello everyone! I am so happy to see you all here. This is my "first" web site, I mean the first one linked under the domain name "robertwoo.com". I really think it is interesting to have my own space to write something. The first time I used internet was a long time ago, which I could only dial-up to my Uni's 28.8k modem pool for research purpose. Internet was a very "high-tech" name to the majority. I and my firends were so excited for this new hyper-world, just like the people crazed for DOT.COM business in the year 2000. Some of my friends started to make their homepage -- using the very raw tool, HTML code. It really took them a couple of months: unlike today, we have lots of handy software, some of them are even free of charge. I did build several web sites, but all of them were for my assignments. I had to host them under the "http://www.XXX.edu.au/SXXXXX" I don't really expect anyone except the professor could locate the site. Another reason I did not make my own web site is, not many web-site offer free web-hosting several years ago. Also, it was a bit expensive for a student to support the DOT.COM registration fee. Last month I found a Domain registrar, which only cost HK$75 a year for a domain name. It also provides the web-forwarding and email-forwarding free of charge together with your registration. I thought it's about time to have my own domain.
