Ekin Cheng plays a cop who is involved with the investigation of an illegal drug ring run by Lam Seung Mo. Ekin's good friend Tsang Wai Kuen is a highly ambitious lawyer who works for Lam. Tsang has a girlfriend Maggie Siu who works as a prosecutor but fails repeatedly to put the bad guys away, thanks to her boyfriend, the witty defense lawyer Tsang. Their relationship is strained because of Tsang's reluctance to give up the fame and fortune he derives from working for Lam. On the other hand, ever since Ekin's girlfriend Leung Pui Wu left him, he and Maggie has been spending more time together and they start falling in love.

Ekin has a colleague Fong Chun Shun who is dismissed from the police squad when he is found to suffer from epilepsy. To save his uncle's life, Fong seeks out a huge loan from Lam and begins to work for Lam as a chauffeur cum bodyguard. There, he meets Lam's sister Cheung Fong Lei and develops a secret crush for her. Cheung however, is in love with Tsang and oblivious to Fong's affection until the day she finds out that Tsang has betrayed her.

The rest of the story depicts how the three good friends become enemies as they each try to protect their own interests.
