Joining a sorority of pitchwomen that include Anita Yuen Wing-Yi, Liz Kong Hei-Man and Angela Tong Ying-Ying among others, Joyce Tang Lai-Ming and Fennie Yuen Kit-Ying are the latest actresses to follow the latest trend of appearing in ads endorsing breast enhancement products. Tang is appearing in an ad of this type for the first time while Yuen recently shot ads for the second time for a line of pills backed by actress Shirley Cheung Yuk-Shan and her boyfriend Jimmy Heung Wah-Sing. The following is a synopsis of an article published in Oriental Sunday about breast enhancement pills and what they have puportedly done for Yuen and Tang. Without sounding like a broken record, the role that breast enhancement products -- such as the pills mentioned in the article -- have in breast development is marginal at best. Breast size, like most physical characteristics, is largely pre-determined by genetics. Like everything else on this site, the article appears not to endorse the pills but for personal amusement.

Oriental Sunday #179 Cover Story: Joyce Tang Lai-Ming and Fennie Yuen Kit-Ying

Synopsis of Joyce Tang article:

With the usage of breast enhancement being all the rage recently, ARMED REACTION star Joyce Tang Lai-Ming jumped on the bandwagon and gave one of the products a try after being approached by a company in late March to appear in an ad. Within a month, her breast size improved from an A cup to a B cup. As a result of her new curves, Tang is now willing to be a bit more daring and sexy when she appears in public.

Selected Quotes:

"I've never tried appearing sexy in public before because I didn't think I had the figure to pull it off. But now, my body is very fit and I feel that appearing sexy once in a while won't hurt."

"I've taken these pills for about a month and my chest size has increased by about an inch and I've gone from using an A cup to a B cup. The pills say that it takes at least three months to reach full effect so I'm sure that I will be going up one more cup size!"

"I'm very happy to be paid for using these products. I've never dreamt that my body could be like this. As you know, I'm seen as sort of a tomboy by the public. Now that I look more like a woman, I can change the way the public sees me. They can see that Joyce Tang Lai-Ming has her feminine side too!"

"I hit puberty earlier than most. By the time I was in sixth grade I was pretty much developed. From that time until now, my body hasn't really changed. I was also tall for my age. When I was growing up, mothers didn't go and buy their daughters bras. Because I didn't like standing out, I wished that my breasts were smaller. It wasn't until I grew up that I realized breast size can effect your self-confidence."

(Tang's boyfriend, Marco Ngai Jun-Kit, jokes about Tang's new figure) "She was already stunning before. Now that she's gone up one cup, even more men stare at her when we are out in public. I hope she doesn't go up anymore more cups. One cup is enough!"

Synopsis of Fennie Yuen Kit-Ying article:

Last year, with her body ravaged by years of poor health, Fennie Yuen Kit-Ying became a successful pitchwoman for Shirley Cheung Yuk-Shan's line of breast enhancement pills when Yuen saw an improvement in her bust size after using the pills for two months. Last week, Cheung hired Yuen again to appear in another set of ads.

Selected Quotes:

"Before I shot the ads the first time around, I tried the pills and saw that not only did it increase my breast size by a cup, it improved my health as well. However, my health is still poor and my body returned to its original condition shortly after I stopped using the pills. I was shooting GING CHAT GU SI (lit. POLICE STORY) for TVB at the time and I didn't have much time to rest. I was totally exhausted and had to see a herbalist for some medicine. I'm still recovering. Although I still look physically weak, I feel healthy now and the size of my breasts didn't decrease."

"To me, the most important thing is credibility. I don't like it when others are trying to swindle me so I won't swindle others. I used myself as a guinea pig to try out the pills first. If it didn't work for me, I wouldn't have appeared in the ads."

(Shirley Cheung Yuk-Shan on why she re-hired Yuen for another round of ads) "The reason I'm hiring Fennie one more time is because the response to her first set of ads was exceptional. Sales went up dramatcially. A lot of twenty-somethings and post-pregnancy women bought the pills. Mothers even bought pills for their daughters. I was very happy with the results. It showed people that the pills are a bonafide health care product."
