Synopsis

Hong Kong, present day.A streetwise young man becomes a bodyguard to scrore quick cash.
He soon befriends a once disillusioned mercenary determined to begin life anew with the
woman he just married. Although the two men find themselves working together to foil an
assassinatances, attempt, their partnership is short-lived; gradually and through
uncontrollable circumstances, they will unknowingly be propelled toward opposite sides
of a deadly confrontation.

Wu Bai (Jack)

Already legendary as Taiwan's top-selling rock 'n' roll artist, Wu Bai recently launched his film career with an appearance in the 1998 Chinese film Beautiful New World which was presented at the Berlin Film Festival. He subsequently had a cameo role in 1999's
The personals, helmed by Taiwannese director Chen Kuo Fu,which debuted in the "Un Certain Regard" section of the Cannes Fiilm Festival.

Long known as the King of Live Music in his native Taiwan, the versatile performer was recently dubbed the King of Chinese Rock by Singapore's Straits Times in a headline
reporting the huge sucess of his Asian Corcert Tour 2000.

As a musician, Wu Bai performs both as a artist and as the lead singer of the band China Blue. He tours regularly in Asia - his 1998 Air Alert concert series,which comprised
several venues in Taiwan, Malaysia and Singapore, is a notable highlight of his frequent live tours - and enjoys a dedicated following among fans throughout the region. Wu Bai is also a renownedd composer - not just for himmmself, but also for other artists, regularly playing his signature guitar on the recordings of the songs he's written.His work as a
talented an -anger and a successful producer rounds out one of pop music's most eclectic
careers.

Wu Bai impressive collection of awards, honors and recognitions began with his 1992 debut album, which was deemed the year's most innovative by The China Times Express, His 1998 album "Lonly Tree, Lonely Bird" was awarded Taiwan's Golden Music Award as the Best Aibum of the Year.

Time and Tide is his third feathure film, and marks his first starting role. Having sucessfully composed score music and songs for five previous films, he also contributes two original songs to Tsui Hark's thriller.
