Youth Activities Day 2000

The Board of Directors who attended the Youth Activities Day in Ipoh

        On the 13th of August 2000 (Sunday), the Youth Activities Day was held at SMK Convent, Ipoh. This activity was organized by the Rotary Club of Ipoh, the Board of Directors of our club attended the function, led by our teacher advisor, Mr Siddharthan. Besides us, the Interact Club od SM King Edward (VII), SM St. George and SM Darul Ridzuan also participated in their event. In the morning, Interactors were asked to attend a morning exercise. We had a great fun carrying out the activities because Interactors were dressed in their respective uniforms , including ties and coats.

At about 9 am, the program started off with speeches by IP Rtn. Ong Tee Chew and the Guest of Honour, District Governor R.T. Arasu. We also attended workshop sessions to gain information about the roles of every Board of Directors and to know the constitution of Interact Club. Board of Directors were also briefed in suggested activities that can be carried out and taught us ways to carry out a project or raising funds. After that, there was a talentime contest. Sketches, songs and dances were presented by Interactors from 10 schools. The Youth Activities Day ended at 4.15pm.
