In October, 1999, we set out to conquer the South Rim. In a ten hour hike, beginning in the dark at 7 AM on a moonless night, eight energetic hikers began their 13 mile trek--Adam, Amanda, Ben, Amy, Tim, Shari, Ann and Hank. Our photos tell the story of this and subsequent visits to Santa Elena Canyon, Santa Elena, Mexico, and a desert campout at Grapevine Hills. |
